How Your Support Helps

  • Serve the meal

Community kitchens that ask no questions and turn nobody away at the door.

  • Open the night shelter

Beds through the cold months, rotated across congregations that share the load.

  • Sit with people

Pastoral visits, bereavement support and the call that comes when nobody else does.

  • Give practical advice

Debt, housing and paperwork help from trained volunteers, free at the point of asking.

  • Keep the hall usable

Roof, heating and access repairs for a building the whole neighbourhood books.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which faith communities can fundraise on CharitMe?

Campaigns may represent different faiths, beliefs, and interfaith efforts when they follow CharitMe's terms, prohibited-use rules, financial requirements, and trust and safety standards.

What can a Faith & Belief campaign support?

Campaigns can explain needs such as community meals, shelter, pastoral care, youth service, accessibility, emergency relief, outreach, or repairs to spaces used for community support.

Can a campaign fund worship or religious activities?

Permitted fundraising must remain lawful, transparent, and consistent with CharitMe policies. Campaigns cannot support hate, coercion, discrimination, violence, fraud, or another prohibited use.

Are donations to faith campaigns tax deductible?

Not every faith campaign is tax deductible. Eligibility depends on the receiving organization and campaign structure, so donors should rely on the campaign indicator and their issued receipt or statement.

Can interfaith community projects use this cause?

Yes. Interfaith and community-service projects can use Faith & Belief when that category accurately describes the organizers and work, while clearly explaining who benefits and how funds will be used.

Fund the work, not the letterhead

Your donation goes to the kitchen, the night shelter and the advice desk — the parts of a congregation that serve people who never attend it.
